USCIS Now Offering (Limited) E-Request Services

The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) agency has announced that it is now accepting e-request services from its customers.  The e-request service allows applicants to request missing Application Support Center (ASC) notices (for biometric interviews) and to correct misspellings and typos on the receipt notice forms.

A brief review of the e-request service page makes it appear that it is available for many immigration petitions, including marriage-based visas and employment-based visas.  However, other sources indicate that the form is only available to N-400 naturalization applications and I-90 applications (to replace a green card).

It is great that the USCIS is expanding its services, and is offering easier ways for customers to communicate with it.  Lets hope that the new service will not be too confusing and will not result in e-request services that take many days or weeks to get a response.
